Overview

An Event Safety Management Plan (ESMP) is an extensive document that sets out the strategies, protocols, and precautions implemented to safeguard the safety and welfare of attendees, participants, staff, and the public throughout all phases of an event. ESMP’s are created for a number of reasons, to include but not limited to safety assurance, risk mitigation, legal and regulatory compliance and emergency preparedness. Course Duration

This course is taught over 3 days in classroom or online with previous events and ESMP’s used as examples.

Assessment

To pass this course a ESMP for a 10,000-person event is to be submitted based on a template provided. A 70% pass mark is needed for completion awarding.
